| Mike Morrissey in the Cork office of CareerWise Recruitment requires a Supplier Quality Engineer (Fixed Term Contract: 12 Months) for our Cork client.
THE ROLE
Working within and FDA & ISO regulated environment, the successful candidate will be responsible for quality related activities across a broad range of services and activities, including, but not limited to the following:
Lead the supplier Advanced Quality Planning process.
Provide Supplier Quality Engineering to support Operations Business Units, R&D, engineering and quality services.
Provide quality engineering support for new product development, including the introduction of new suppliers & efficient and timely transfer of products to the vendor base.
Oversee disposition of Supplier Process Change requests. Review and approve supplier Control Plans and Approve supplier first article submissions.
Assist customers and suppliers in resolving product issues including customer complaints. Support supplier management in Material Quality, Certification and Validation activities.
Drive supplier improvement by assuring adequacy in the vendor's quality programs & inspection methods and shall participate in key processes which include: Material Review Board, Supplier Audits, and issuance of Supplier Corrective Action Requests.
Lead Problem Solving, Failure Analysis, Corrective Action & Preventative Action activities within the Team. Drive a problem solving culture.
Develop and implement Inspection Monitoring and Process Control procedures in-house and aid our supplier with same..
Lead Process Validation activities. Execute validation documentation authorization and review.
Provide training in Quality Process’ & Techniques to the extended team and suppliers.
REQUIREMENTS
Effective interpersonal communications and project management skills.
Excellent analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills Must be able to plan, organize, and implement multiple concurrent tasks.
Minimum Degree in engineering, quality or science related discipline.
Completion of external Quality Assurance related course desirable.
5 years experience in a quality/engineering related role.
Medical experience within a high volume-manufacturing environment desirable.
